Please note: COVID-19 has resulted in a general hiatus on many social events. Please check the calendar to see what events are going ahead.

The Victorian Mini Club hosts several regular monthly social events for club members. These events are all run by club members, and all members are welcome to attend. If you'd like to see a regular social event in your area, why not put your hand up to organise one! You can contact our Social Secretary for help and guidance on getting things started.

Northern Social Meet

The (not so) Northern Social meet has been happening at various locations for the last 15 odd years. For the last nine of those, it has been held regularly at the Garage Cafe in Carlton, however with the recent closure of that venue, we are trying out some new, extremely family friendly venues.

Our current venue is:

Zagame’s Family Bistro

Cnr Dorset Rd & Boronia Rd, Boronia

Check out their great menu here.

The Northern Social Meet is held on the second Wednesday of every month, and anyone is welcome to come along, no bookings required. Feel free to just show up, ask for the Victorian Mini Club table, and join in the fun! Check the club calendar to confirm the time and venue, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact Cameron or Karen Brown, who have been running the event for the last 15 years, using the details that can be found on the calendar or in your latest edition of MiniMag.

Geelong Garage Sessions

If you live down near G-Town (or if you just fancy a drive), the monthly VMCi social catch-up in Geelong takes place on the first Friday of every month. It’s a great way to catch up with like-minded Mini-owning friends without making the long trek up the freeway to Melbourne!

The venue varies each month, so check out the club calendar for more details on this month's event, and feel free to contact the organiser (details in the calendar) if you'd like more information!

Friday Night Lights

Held on the 4th Friday of every month, Friday Night Lights is a great way to finish off the working week in a relaxed, low-key, social environment. Usually outdoors over the warmer months, and indoors over the cooler months, it really can be anything.

FNL may begin as a feed and end with photographs, or it may be a short drive around Albert Park Lake or up Mt. Dandenong, it could be roller skating or go-karting or a visit to the movies. It's always fun, though, and quite often we decide exactly what to do next time over a coffee at the end! Starting to get the idea?

When weekends are busy, a Friday night outing with the club may be just the thing to let your hair down with a bit of variety. It changes every month so check out the club calendar for more info, or visit the VMCi Facebook page for updates on the upcoming activities being planned. If you'd like more information about FNL, feel free to contact Krystian Jackson (KJ) who runs the event via the details in the calendar.
