The biggest annual event in the country for Mini enthusiasts is the Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana. Held in Hay because it's roughly the same distance from Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, the event is usually run over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

The weekend includes:

  • Friday night welcome party

  • Saturday morning Mini Parade down Hay's main street

  • A spectacular show and shine display

  • Saturday night quiz night

  • Sunday Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana (with Mini Clubs competing against each other)

  • Hay Heroes Challenge

  • A massive fancy dress Presentation Party, with each Mini club having their own fancy dress theme

The Hay Mini Nationals also form one round of the VMCi Championship.

Hay is an event that must be attended at least once in a Mini enthusiasts lifetime. Start planning for next year!

Very detailed information is available on the dedicated Hay Mini Nationals Web site.

The 50th Anniversary of the Hay Mini Nationals was a spectacular weekend away the Queen's Birthday long weekend in June. There were Minis a plenty as young and old flocked to the little town of Hay to compete, celebrate and show off their Minis. The Mini Club of South Australia put on a fantastic event, with catering, special surprise guests and fireworks!

A special congratulations to those who managed to snag a trophy in the many categories on offer, to our members who came and endured the elements and volunteered to officiate and to all the other competitors from the VMCi who turned this into one of the best Hay weekends ever!
